The download section is basically a new addition to our community and available only for registered members. Guest can view all items but they must register to download from the site. Membership is free so it's not a lot to ask, but it would be nice if people would support this community and not just leech the site for it's resources. Most of our downloads are found by our file manager team who download and test the file for viruses or malware. Most downloads are from other sources and developers who we find have various download issues with their respected sites. Our file managers contact the various creators of these downloads for their permission before posting their material. In most cases we do not hear from the sources so we post them anyway unless they request us to remove the post. Members also have the privilege to post uploaded or linked items for download here, and this to is a freely available. We do encourage for people to share their various works with other members and we love having a variety of content for members to choose from.

So how does one upload files? Well we did it a few ways using our 3rd party add-on and found that these steps are the easiest way to post items:

1. The easiest way is to go into the category that you want to post your item and then click on the green "Add New File" button at the top. The alternative in the download main page, click on the "Add File" link under the navigation menu which will take you to a screen that looks similar to the forum posting screen as shown below

2. Here you can fill out the details about your download. It's best to give as many details as possible so that members will be able to find your download from the search bar which is very important. You can add images in your post from the gallery if you wish, but if it's something specific pertaining to the item then it's best to complete the post and add the images after.

3. Archiving your file is important. Everyone archives their files using mostly ZIP or RAR compression utilities. It makes a huge difference for the members when it comes to downloading. Members who don't have archiving utilities can always download the free open source versions which are 100% free. The 3 we are familair with are Bigzip, Zzip, or 7-zip.

4. Uploading or linking your archived file is next. In most cases, we encourage linking the file with a 3rd party provider so we can save space on the server (see image below for options) . However, you are not limited to this option. You can upload files to us which is tricky depending on your interet connection or for any reason that the file transfer may be interrupted. A good way to be sure is to download the file from the site and test it before members complain that they had problems with it. If you are uploading a file, chances are that a moderator will relocate the file to our 3rd party providers so that we can save our space on the server. Please note that executables and files not on the list below will be deleted as well as the corresponding post. These are the immediate file types allowed: bmp, doc, fla, gif, jpe, jpg, pdf, png, psd, rar, swf, xls, zip.

6. Once you are content with all the information you have provided and either uploaded or linked your file, simply click on the "Add File" button on the bottom of the screen.

7. Now that your post has been made, you can now go to the item's download screen to make changes to it and add images. Why add the images now you ask? Well it's better to do it this way so that it does not interfere with your file upload. We found that there were various intermittent issues with adding a file and the picture at the same time and it was mostly with the user's internet connection. To add the images, look at the bottom of your post for the "Upload an Image" field and click on the "Browse" button to search your computer for the image. Once selected, click on the "Add Image" button and that's it. There is no limit to how many images you add, but we do caution that you check to make sure the thumbnail appears. If it comes out black, then the upload failed and you should try again. We also recommend changing image formats as well if the problem keeps occurring.

Very important! We do not have the staff to keep looking into what you post so post responsibly as it is based on an honor system. The ability to post is here for your convenience but we will not assume responsibility for the material you post. There are tons of people who are trying to make a buck with file storage services from Hotfile, Fileserve, Depositfiles, Rapidshare, Filesonic, and several others that offer free accounts and payment for download volume. We don't discourage this but this conduct always comes at a risk. We do not encourage illegal activity. Items like known mp3, or newly release movies and such are not permitted and will be removed. References to content and software protected by the copyright law are given for evaluation purposes only. If you like something presented on this site (ebooks, 3d stuff, graphics, software, tutorials etc.), then purchase it from the respected owner.

If you run into trouble with the download section, please reply here or make a post in the support forum. If your browser is showing an error then please also try to describe the error or post screenshots of them.
